We specialise in residential projects both private and commercial, and successfully take on work in many other sectors. I am a fully qualified and RIBA chartered Architect with several years of experience.

Measured building surveys and initial design advice

One of the first steps to tackling any building project is to understand where you are starting from and the context. After an initial meeting with you to understand the brief, I will undertake the measurements of the plot myself and convert this into a digital 3D model. This is the base for all further designs, and can be used to create drawings for planning applications and building regulations.

Concept design to planning applications

​

This is the exciting bit! Based on your brief, we can look at design options and using the 3D model we can put this in virtual reality (if you are new to this please check out my blog post on it here). This is a really easy and impressive way of seeing and understanding your design without needing to read plans. This is all integrated into the way I work, so there are no additional costs. Once we're happy with the design, we can use the model to generate drawings for a planning application.

Building regulations

​

Any significant work will require a building regulations application, which usually requires drawings. I can provide these, and if you've used Nicholls Architecture and Design for the planning stages we can keep the virtual model updated. This means we can arrange VR sessions to revisit the design as required so that you understand how details will look. These drawings can be taken a step further and used for construction if the project and builder requires it.

Virtual reality presentations

​

If you already have an architect or a design and want to see what it looks like in VR, or you are an architect or developer looking to sell one of your projects with a virtual reality experience for your customers then Nicholls Architecture and Design can help. We offer VR models and presentations as a stand alone service, for a fixed fee. If you can provide plans and elevations, we can provide an Autodesk Live file modelled in Revit, and take all the equipment to the venue of your choosing for a presentation. Interested?
